Payment methods, currency and checkout security

Our checkout runs on Shopify, one of the largest ecommerce platforms in the world. Payments are processed through their standard secure checkout.

We never see or store your card details. They go directly to the payment processor and are not visible to us at any point, including to the person answering your emails.

Payment methods we accept

Cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

Digital wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.

All of these are available at checkout in every market we sell in. Which options appear on your screen depends on your device and browser, so Apple Pay will only show on Apple devices, for example.

Currency

We sell in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and Canada, and you are charged in your local currency:

  • United Kingdom: pounds sterling (GBP)
  • United States: US dollars (USD)
  • Australia: Australian dollars (AUD)
  • Canada: Canadian dollars (CAD)

The price you see at checkout is the amount charged. Because you pay in your own currency there is normally no conversion involved. If your card or bank account is held in a different currency from the store you are buying from, your bank may apply its own conversion or foreign transaction fee, which is set by them rather than by us.

If your payment was declined

Check with your bank first. International transactions are sometimes blocked automatically as a precaution, and trying again once your bank has cleared it usually works.

If a payment failed but money appears to have left your account, that is almost always a temporary authorisation hold rather than a charge. It clears on its own within a few business days without any action from you.

If a wallet payment will not go through, try a card instead, or the other way round.
