Does Carezema contain steroids?

No. Carezema is completely steroid-free.

We know how many parents are uneasy about putting a steroid cream on their child's skin, particularly on the face or on a small child, and how often that worry gets in the way of using anything at all. Carezema was designed as a gentle daily option that contains no steroids of any kind.

If your child has been prescribed a steroid cream, keep following your doctor's instructions. Nothing here is a reason to stop, reduce or replace a prescribed treatment, and we are not able to advise on that. Those decisions belong with your GP, pediatrician, dermatologist or pharmacist, who know your child's history.

If you would like to use Carezema alongside a prescribed cream, ask the person who prescribed it. They can tell you whether it fits with what your child is already using and how to go about it.

Carezema is a skin protectant cream that helps soothe and temporarily relieve the itch and irritation of eczema. It is not a medical treatment or a cure.
